Why Sunday Roast?

A Sunday roast is a traditional British and Irish meal that is typically served on Sunday, consisting of roasted meat, roast potatoes and accompaniments such as Yorkshire pudding, stuffing, gravy, and condiments such as apple sauce, or mint sauce. A wide range of vegetables can be served as part of a roast dinner, such as broccoli, Brussels blah, blah, blah, blah…

OK enough about the meal. It’s bloody delicious, but it’s not the point.

As we adapted our business strategy to meet our passions and provide direction for who we really wanted to work with, why on earth did we land on Sunday Roast and name our agency after a traditional meal? The answer is quite simple.

Growing up in England I always loved Sunday Roasts. Not just for the food, but for the opportunity to sit together as a family and connect. Coming from a larger family, that wasn’t always possible throughout the week, but it was more common to happen on the weekend.

But it didn’t stop there! In my teenage years I’d be at a friends house with a group of mates, and if it was on a Sunday we’d get fed a Sunday roast and we’d sit and talk with the whole family. I developed strong bonds with the entire families of those friends and that’s partly down to spending time together and truly connecting.

So why Sunday Roast? It’s about the event vs the meal itself. It’s about taking the time to sit down together (virtually or in person), showing a face, getting to know them and their goals, collaborating, being a thought-partner and celebrating their business success together!

It’s about making true connections, and making a real difference.
